Mothra Transforming Egg (1964)

Opened it expecting a cute desk toy, but the way Mothra flips from the molded egg into full adult form is genuinely clever for such a tiny 2.5" piece. The paint job on the wings looks sharp for the scale, and the 1964 design really comes through. It's a fun little fidget for any Godzilla fan.

The little transformation gimmick is genuinely fun—it starts as a smooth egg and pops into the adult Mothra pose in one twist. At 2.5 inches, it’s the perfect size to perch on my monitor and it captures that 1964 design perfectly. Already caught myself fiddling with it twice this afternoon.

I wasn’t expecting much from a 2.5” figure, but the egg-to-adult transformation is genuinely clever and clicks into place with a satisfying little snap. It looks great on my shelf next to my other Mothra pieces, and the sculpt captures the 1964 design perfectly.
